Motel Le Colibri

The staff were warm, helpful, and very nice, but I couldn’t wait to get out of this place. I booked in a hurry during an unplanned, chaotic trip, and it turned into a disaster. The room felt shady, with things broken, torn, or dirty, and I was worried there might be bedbugs. Nothing seemed to have been renovated. I have allergic rhinitis and felt sick as soon as I entered the room. I still regret paying 75 euros for the stay. It felt more like a roadside motel than a hotel, and I wouldn’t consider it suitable for regular tourists.

The security and booking handling were major concerns. Our card was charged days before we arrived, while we weren’t there, and we were simply handed the confirmation slip on arrival. Reservations made through booking sites were left in plain sight at reception, with other guests’ credit card numbers visible. The Wi-Fi and AC weren’t working. It was noisy, the balcony doors couldn’t be locked, and a staircase gave access from street level. We first drove past because we thought the place was abandoned. Both inside and outside looked as if they hadn’t been maintained since the 70s. Avoid.

The room was large and the staff were super nice. But if you have a dog, watch out for the cat in reception. It scratched my dog hard. Be careful around that cat, it looks like a tiger!

The waiter was very helpful, and the dessert, something with chocolate and Nutella, was great. The food itself was average. It’s a nice place with nice people, close to the airport. I assumed English wouldn’t be a problem there, but it was.
