Auberge Bourbonnaise

The staff were friendly and helpful, with good advice. Our room sat at the back of a small courtyard with typical local architecture. It was roomy, clean, and recently renovated, with comfortable beds and a lovely bathroom. A very pleasant stop, especially if you're visiting the nearby racetrack.

The room was already heated when we arrived, and had the sort of amenities you'd expect from a place offering the same kind of service. It was quiet and clean, with a comfortable large bed and a quirky little private courtyard. Thanks to Tiphaine for the warm welcome and breakfast. A lovely surprise for a relaxing break while passing through.

The starters were very generously portioned, but the wait made the meal really unpleasant. We were a family stopping at the inn while waiting for a driver for a track day at the nearby circuit. It took more than 20 minutes just to order, then another 40 minutes after the starters arrived. Our son was served last, too. We had the set menu, but had to leave before dessert because we were expected at the circuit at 2 pm. Service was far too slow, and the staff seemed so-so and quickly overwhelmed. Personally, I do better when I have guests!

We ate, drank, and slept really well, and always get such a warm welcome here. It's a charming little inn just as it is, so please don't change a thing. Thanks for serving our friends who hadn't booked, even though it was already so late.
