Le Napoléon

We had a wonderful night in the Napoleon room and dinner at Le 43. The whole team, including the owner, made us feel so welcome. Outside, the night market brought a lively atmosphere, and there was also an Italy-themed open-air concert in the restaurant courtyard that made the evening even better. It’s an authentic hotel that’s exceptionally well run. I highly recommend it to anyone passing through. Thanks to everyone, and see you very soon.

It’s a shame, because the location is truly beautiful. If we visit again, we’ll stay somewhere else. Communication with the accommodation has become very aggressive after my justified criticism upset them. Smoking is prohibited in the hotel, yet staff smoke there in the evenings. Since the room’s only windows face the small inner courtyard, guests have to shut them to keep smoke out. I’ve repeatedly asked for an invoice, and now their legal department is threatening me. They could easily calm this down by emailing the invoice to the address listed on booking.com and responding to my criticism. Any other accommodation would be grateful and wouldn’t threaten legal action.

The rooms were spotless, though the soundproofing could be improved. The manager and staff gave us an excellent welcome and were always attentive. We also enjoyed the restaurant and its terrace, and breakfast was generous. Nothing to complain about: a great stay at a very good price.

I stayed one night at Hotel Napoléon, and the garden and patio made for a wonderful setting. The room was beautiful and perfectly clean. It’s a magnificent residence, carefully restored by charming owners who greeted me with smiles and a warm welcome as soon as I arrived. This will be my regular place whenever I’m in Luxeuil. Thank you.
