Drinking excellent wine outside the hotel and watching the world go by was the highlight. Breakfast put a strong focus on high-quality local produce. The location was excellent, and the bed was so wide I couldn't hear my wife snoring. The bath was so deep I nearly had to call for help getting out.

We had a reasonably spacious suite for two couples, with rustic charm and good value. They accepted small dogs, which was a plus. The room was cold when we arrived, and the cooking facilities were somewhat limited. Once we'd lit the fire and settled down to food and wine, though, we enjoyed our stay.

We had a lovely place to rest and explore the area. The host was superb, and this little local hotel is well worth recommending. Breakfast was delicious, made with local products, and had an authentic atmosphere. We're already looking forward to coming back.

The staff were a huge help. They extended our rental car, planned activities that were even better than what the tour books suggested, recommended the best restaurants, and explained local details, all in perfect English. The location was perfect too. I'd especially recommend this hotel to travelers who want to browse its huge English and French library or have staff who speak English.
