The cheerful short-haired woman at reception really made my stay better. My loft room was spacious and lovely, with a beautiful outlook toward the river down the hill. It had a kitchen with the appliances and utensils I needed, plus plenty of wardrobe space, though it was a bit dusty. I visited in September, when nights were very cold, around 6°-12°, so the lack of air conditioning wasn’t an issue. One thing to watch: with the lights on, opening the windows for fresh air brought in lots of tiny flies. If you need lots of room, this hotel may be worth considering, since spacious rooms like this can be hard to find in France.

Such a great view, and everyone was nice. The room was clean too, everything was perfect!

The room was big, but I left after one night instead of the two I’d booked and found another place straight away. There were dogs barking next door, a broken shower holder, a noisy fridge, and translucent curtains. The building and its interior had a strange feel, a lot like student dorms.

That view was stunning, and the gentleman at the front desk was incredibly helpful, so those are the reasons for my five stars. The hotel itself isn’t luxury: the bed was small and firm, the road outside was busy and noisy, and the curtains didn’t block the light. There was a kitchenette, which would’ve come in handy on a longer visit. For a short break between long days exploring Lyon, it worked perfectly.
