Lyonest Chambre D'hôtes

Lionel made everything easy, from check-in through check-out. He was friendly, thoughtful, and communicative, and I really appreciated his hospitality. The room was beautiful, comfortable, and well looked after. I had a wonderful stay and would definitely recommend it.

The accommodation is separate, very clean, tastefully furnished, and equipped with everything you could need. It’s in a quiet area, still a reasonable distance from the city center, and street parking is free and easy. Breakfast was both tasty and healthy, with Lionel adjusting it to what guests prefer. Lionel is welcoming without hovering, and speaks French and English fluently. Of all the B&Bs I’ve stayed in across France, this is one of my favorites. It made for a perfect stay.

The Atelier was spotlessly clean and had a good kitchen, and we loved staying in this quiet place. The ceiling is low where you sleep, and there are two small steps to get to the toilet, so it may not suit older guests or anyone who has trouble walking. It worked for us, but it’s worth knowing. There’s also a studio to rent. The host was very nice, helpful, and spoke good English. He suggested some good restaurants. The metro is a 10-minute walk away, making it easy to get around Lyon. Breakfast was very good, with fresh croissants, bread, fruit, and juice, and there’s an espresso machine in the kitchen. Everything you need is there.

The studio has been renovated beautifully, and the bed was extremely comfortable with lovely linen. We had our own well-equipped kitchen and cooked dinner there on one of our three nights. Breakfast was just right and brought each morning at the time we’d arranged. We picked Lionel’s B&B for its privacy and closeness to public transport, and couldn’t have chosen better. Lionel was incredibly helpful and has thought of everything to make a stay memorable. We highly recommend ‘Lyonest’ and hope to return one day. Everything was perfect!
