ibis Styles Macon Centre

We stopped for one night on our way to Southern France, two adults and our 9-year-old. The room was clean and close to the centre of Mâcon. Staff were lovely and helped us get a parking spot for our EV, €12 a night. Some nice riverside restaurants are just a five-minute walk away. Breakfast wasn’t fancy, but it was more than enough to start the day. The airco worked well, though it was loud, so we turned it off overnight.

Our reserved parking was in a numbered space in a secure, private garage nearby. Breakfast had lots of choices and was very good. We were warmly welcomed, had a great room, and the hotel team gave us exactly the stay we were looking for.

We had a great stay at IBIS Styles Macon Centre on our way to the south of France. The parking garage was excellent, breakfast was great, and the room was spotless and quiet. The personnel were friendly and helpful.

The hotel was clean, updated, and comfortable, and the staff spoke some English. Wifi was strong, and it was only a three-minute walk to the train station, which suited our overnight stop. Breakfast was continental and a little limited, but fine. We ended up in the handicapped accessible room on the first floor, at the outside corner right by the street, so there was a lot of road noise. We kept the window and blinds shut because someone walking past could have come straight in if the window had been open. The king bed was two very narrow beds pushed together, narrower than twin beds. At six foot one, I could barely roll over. The accessible bathroom was one big wet room, with no shower wall, alcove, or even a small ledge to keep water in place. After a shower, the whole bathroom was soaked. I’d suggest asking for a different room if you don’t need the handicapped one.
