We couldn't get our bill printed, so we had no idea what we were being charged for. The whole bar experience was chaotic, even though the hotel was nearly empty. The food arrived cold and was poor, including tiny, cold, shrivelled prawns. The waiter also knocked a vase of flowers into my lap and spilled our drinks. They did give my wife a glass of wine for free. Our suite's extra space was basically empty apart from two small dining chairs and a side table against the wall, so it wasn't worth paying more than for a standard room. The bed was very comfortable and the bathroom was good, but its loud extraction fan wouldn't switch off. Staff said some rooms have that problem and they don't know which ones; they moved us, but that wasn't what we needed after a nine-hour drive. For a stay, I'd skip the bar and the larger room upgrade, ask for a room without the fan issue, book parking ahead because there aren't many spaces, and reserve spa treatments in advance since they get busy. Otherwise, it's okay for a night.

The staff are exceptionally friendly, and I've loved everything about both stays. This was my second one-night stop here on a trip from Germany to Spain. The rooms are spacious and spotless, and the price is great. Parking costs €15 per night and gets you access to the hotel's own, very secure garage. The spa is extra, which seems fair and is clearly stated on the website. I didn't have breakfast, so I can't comment on it. Five stars.

We'd definitely stay again. The hotel is close to lots of amenities, and there's a convenient car park across the road. The room was great, with a comfy bed, a good shower and everything very clean. The place even smells amazing. The rooftop bar is hard to beat: we sat there under blankets and shared a fantastic cheese board.

The hotel is nice and the service is good. My one reservation is that the wellness experience doesn't compare with what's available in Scandinavia, Germany or Austria. You have to wear a bathing suit, and the relaxation area is small, with no reclining chairs or outdoor access. Guests also seem to have different ideas about using the facilities: it can get quite noisy, and people don't always shower between activities.

The staff were attentive, and I'd book again. I stayed in Macon on the way back from skiing. The rooms were large, clean and comfortable, and secure parking is available for an extra charge. The skybar has a good view, but drinks are very expensive, €12 for 500ml of beer.
