Le Prieuré Madiran

Under new management, the restaurant is even better than we remembered from our visit six years ago. The concise menu changes every two or three weeks, the setting is stunning, especially out on the terrace, and service is impeccable. It’s good value too, so we’ve booked two more visits and highly recommend it. We’d enjoyed our earlier visit, but the restaurant later closed, I guess because it wasn’t getting enough customers. Both times we went back then, we were the only ones there. Book ahead now, though, because it was full on the day we visited.

The whole place left us blown away, especially the service. The staff were so attentive and friendly, and the food was outstanding in such a serene setting. At Le Prieure, we were treated like celebrities. I can’t wait to return.

The dining room looks out over beautiful gardens, and the restaurant itself is elegant, lovely, and quiet. We had a delicious lunch with impeccable service from friendly staff. It was an expensive treat, but worth it.

Thanks, Jill. I haven't eaten this well while sleeping in a tent since Napoleon.
