Camping Maisons-Laffitte

The campsite was clean, and the staff were friendly. There were lots of kids playing around, but it never caused any trouble. We stayed there in our motor home while I worked the weekend at The Pyramides. I rented a bike at the Camping. ❤️

We got a roomy pitch for our motorhome at a very reasonable price with the acci card. The station is a 20-minute walk away, and there’s a direct train to Paris. I preferred it to the city camping in Paris.

If you’ll be out in Paris most of the time and only need somewhere to sleep, this is a handy choice. Just expect noise: trains, canal barges, planes from 5am, and usually a nearby barking dog. The restaurant on site is only just adequate, and the gaming machines make it loud.

The reason we won’t come back is that we weren’t allowed to use the pool. The lifeguard said our freshly washed swimsuits were the wrong kind and were unhygienic. I’m still angry about those unscientific claims. How does the rest of Europe manage? 🤮🤮🤮 In response to your answer: I’m not “Extra-European.” I’m from Germany and travel a lot. I’ve been to every EU country, most other European countries, and plenty more. My swimsuit is allowed everywhere in Europe, yet you call it unhygienic. What science is that based on? You’d be angry too if you felt upset every time you walked past the pool.
