Getting the door open was a real puzzle. The instructions said to turn the key left, but after half an hour we worked out it needed to go right. The place itself is nice, but there were no amenities, not even hand wash.

There were lots of cockroaches in the room, and the hotel was very dirty. Rooms weren't cleaned regularly, and it felt like staff expected extra tips before they'd clean. The reception people were useless, just passing time and collecting money, with no service. I posted a photo of the cockroaches. Don't stay here.

The room was tiny, almost jail-sized, and the bathroom was even smaller. There was no AC, just a low-speed fan in the hot summer, and the toilet had no ventilation, so smells lingered. They don't clean daily, and even when something spills by accident, they don't want to clean it. The reception staff were extremely arrogant and treated us as if we were there to serve them once we'd booked. A few things were already broken, including a lampshade and plug. There's no iron or ironing board in the room, you have to go downstairs to get one, and they wouldn't provide extra toilet tissue. Breakfast was croissants, biscuits, some fruit, milk, and coffee, but arriving two minutes late meant no breakfast at all.

It's a calm spot in Paris, with useful amenities and easy public transport, which worked well for business travel. But without air conditioning, I wouldn't choose it in the warmer months.
