Le Portail Du Ventoux

The cottage is nicely decorated, but a few things bothered me. The neighbor’s chickens woke me at 7 a.m., and there was traffic noise. I wasn’t keen on the bedding either. The mattress felt too soft for me, and my sister could feel the springs in the sofa bed.

Really good value for money. It was close to a fifth star, though a few little things were missing or could use attention: the famous apricot juice wasn’t in the fridge, there were no instructions for the TV/decoder, and perhaps the batteries needed replacing. Some Provençal furniture would suit the setting. There were plenty of candles but no matches, and the lawn and garden hose could use a quick tidy. Nothing serious, we’ll be back to see!

A relaxing break where you feel right at home, with top-notch amenities. The house is comfortable and full of charm. You can park motorcycles in front, and the little garden in the middle of the city is a welcome spot to get out of the heat. We’d have stayed longer if all the rooms hadn’t already been booked and work wasn’t waiting for us...

A rip-off! I had to pay most of the cost of a week’s stay in advance, even before last year’s Corona lockdown. After I cancelled, nothing was refunded, despite what booking.com had assured me, and my inquiry went unanswered.
