Comfort Aparthotel Cannes Mandelieu

We've been coming back every year since 2012, and were among the very first guests. The complex has changed over time, from Appart’City, with noisy, uncomfortable sofa beds, towel changes only weekly or on request, and very limited service, to a more comfortable hotel after Comfort Suites took over. Now there are proper beds and housekeeping every other day. The staff have always been friendly and helpful, and they do their best to get us one of our favorite studios so we can enjoy our stay. There aren't many familiar faces left, though I think the handyman recognized us, as did at least one of the housekeeping staff. As usual, our studio was clean, the beds were really good, and the whole complex was neat. The lawn was yellow, but with limited water supplies and the prefect's measures, that's understandable. My only reason for holding back a fifth star is the outdoor seating. Since the hotel suits people traveling light and the overnight rate is what it is, I'd expect more comfortable chairs than the cheapest ones available. We've mentioned this for years, and we'd gladly pay an extra or optional charge for seats where you can relax and maybe read a book. We've also been missing a way to dry swimming trunks and beach towels for several years. Every studio used to have one. We had a pleasant stay and would like to return next summer. Hopefully the outdoor chairs will be more comfortable by then.

I couldn't manage more than one night. The rooms were extremely small, there was a strange smell throughout the building, and the bed was so uncomfortable that the mattress felt very old. The bathroom lighting was also inadequate. For me, this place is a 2-3 star place at most, definitely not 4. It takes about 30 minutes on average each day to reach the center of Cannes. I wouldn't recommend staying here at all.

This aparthotel is a nice mix of apartment and hotel. The place is new, the room was very clean, and I had a large terrace with a pool view. Getting around is difficult if you don't have a car, but otherwise it was worth it. I'd recommend it for a short getaway!

The big drawback is that you really need a car here. There's nothing nearby, and taxis into Cannes are expensive. Otherwise, the room was clean and had a nice view, and the desk staff were friendly and helpful. The buffet breakfast was generous, with eggs, sausage, bacon, pastries, baguette, muffins, coffee, and juice.
