When I arrived at 19:00, reception was closed, so I had to call Agoda and the emergency number to get the situation sorted out. My room had been given to someone else because I was checking in late. They said they had emailed me, but that wasn't true. Since it was Friday during Cannes Film Festival weekend, I was left without accommodation.

The location worked really well, with a bus stop nearby. I stayed two nights for work and arrived late, but still got a warm welcome. My room was clean and quiet.

The outdoor space looked nice, with tables, lounge chairs, and a parking lot. The room's dated decor didn't bother me, but I spotted a bedbug on the bed and asked to switch rooms. The second room was in terrible shape: another bedbug squashed on the wall, big dust bunnies and an empty bottle under the bed, dead flies in the toilet, and yellowish water from the shower. It was frankly scandalous. I was meant to stay 11 nights, but left after one. Thankfully, they granted my refund request.
