I've stayed here four times a year for ten years or more, and until now I've been very pleased with the hotel and food. Today, though, I arrived and was told to wait 20 minutes to check in. Then a French customer arrived after me and was checked in straight away. I complained and was given my key, but I was unhappy. At dinner, it seemed the whole hotel staff had taken a united stance because I complained, and I was left ignored in the restaurant. It's now been 30 minutes since I sat down. The restaurant is filling up, and guests around me are being seated and served, but I am not. I'm being completely ignored, and I'm perplexed by the situation. I suppose I'm forced to find somewhere else to eat tonight. Totally unprofessional. I'm in disbelief.

This place is a hidden gem. There's not much in the village, but it's perfect for a one- or two-night stay. The staff were very friendly and happy to help. The food was very good, and the set menu was excellent value at €25. I'd definitely come again, as there are so many lovely places to visit.

I stayed for just one night. If you're booking a room, I'd recommend trying to get one overlooking the river and bridge. Our room was perfectly adequate, with a nice shower, and all the staff were very pleasant.

We're on holiday and aren't staying at the hotel, but we booked lunch on the recommendation of our gîte hosts. I checked the menus on the website. We're both vegetarian, which can often be a challenge on holiday in France, and I expected we'd need to choose the starter and dessert menu because there was no main course for us on the menu of the day. We were happy with that, as our hosts had told us how wonderful the self-service cold starter buffet was. Still, I thought it was worth asking whether the kitchen could make a vegetarian dish of the day. Even though we hadn't given any advance notice, the lovely waiter said it was no problem and that a plate of vegetables would be available. And what a plate it was! Everything was absolutely delicious: hot frittata, carrot purée, lentils, roasted aubergine, and half a baked potato, all beautifully presented and garnished. What a treat. It was one of the nicest vegetarian meals we've had in France. The buffet was as tasty as we'd been told. There was a choice of desserts. We both had strawberries: I had mine plain, and my husband had strawberry Melba. The setting is wonderful. We ate on the terrace overlooking the lovely garden and river. The waitress and waiter were very efficient, friendly, and cheerful. It was a lovely lunch, topped off with a stroll through the garden and a moment by the river. Thank you, Beau Rivage.

I had a rather unpleasant experience at this restaurant, which initially seemed welcoming and friendly. The person who appears to be the owner isn't very cheerful, and his politeness also seems selective toward different customers. We could hear him shouting at his employees from the kitchen. I understand how difficult it is to work under pressure, but it disrupts the customers' peace and comfort. The dress code for the service staff doesn't seem to be followed by everyone, or could use a little more attention, though the service itself was quite good. Despite all that, the food is good, portions are generous, and the desserts are excellent.
