La Ramade was a real treat after a long day out. Dinner was beautifully cooked, and Nathan even translated the French menu and printed copies for us. There’s a generous wine list with choices for different budgets. Our host also shared a tip about catching the mascaret at Pontaubault, just 12 minutes away, where surfers, paddlers and SUPers ride the incoming wave. We felt looked after from check-in to check-out. The hosts and staff were friendly and capable, and the hotel is a lovely find near Avranche. Our spacious, quiet room was on the first floor of the newly built Villa Madila, done in a modern Bretagne style with a balcony over the large French garden. Breakfast had plenty of choice, including yogurt, cereals, local ham and cheeses, jams, bread and cakes, plus eggs made to order or served scrambled with bacon.

The staff were generous and so accommodating, and helped make my time with my girlfriend special. The grounds made it feel like we'd stepped into another world, and the rooms were incredibly comfortable. We thought the hotel was absolutely lovely. If you're anywhere nearby, make it your temporary home base.

The curry sauce with the fish was incredible, and the food was some of the best we'd ever eaten. The owners were so accommodating, and this was one of our favorite stops. We loved staying here. Just a note, the hotel is on the outskirts, so having a car would be really helpful.

Dinner was the highlight for us. Everything was incredible, cooked and seasoned well, and served beautifully. The strawberry dessert was probably one of the best I've ever had. The breakfast also had a lovely selection of quality food, and everyone gave impeccable service. We had a lovely stay. Our room was spacious, comfortable and very clean. Absolutely a must, and I can't wait to come back.

The food was the best I've had in France, with the flavors blended perfectly. Service felt personal and attentive, and the rooms were very comfortable. We came to see Mont St Michel, about 25 minutes away, but I'd happily return just to spend a few more days at La Ramade.
