We had a peaceful, pleasant stay, and Denise was warm and discreet. Breakfast was very good. The room feels cramped for two couples, though; it's better suited to one couple or a couple with two children. The bathroom could use an update, but it was clean.

There was no real privacy or independence, so I left and cancelled through Booking.com. The kitchen entrance and the stairs up to the attic bedrooms were both very dark. The two skylights did little to help with the stifling lack of air, and the refrigerator was so small it might fit a bottle at most.

The breakfast was a mess: expired orange juice that fizzed like Orangina, moths in the Nesquik, stale bread, and no pastries, yogurt, or fruit. On day two, the chocolate croissants were stale too. The one kind thing was that the host bought cereal for my little one, but the rest of the stay was a complete disaster. The welcome felt cold, and the cluttered entrance had a musty smell. Our upstairs room under the eaves was unbearably hot in mid-August. The floorboards creaked so badly they woke everyone going to the bathroom. That bathroom was outside the room, with a bathtub beneath a sloping ceiling. You couldn't stand in it without putting your head out the window.

We only stayed one night before leaving. The place felt dated, the host wasn't welcoming, and breakfast was meager, with stale bread. It was expensive for what we got.
