Gite La Charrue

We had a great time cooking together as a family in the outdoor kitchen, and the pool was perfect for all of us. It was heated, though the weather was beautiful and warm enough anyway. The cottages were all clean and self-contained, and the accommodation was just right. Dave and Carol were lovely and nothing felt like too much trouble. There's a restaurant on site with really good food, plus tribute nights that we thoroughly enjoyed. Everything was reasonably priced, with food included in the ticket price. We'd highly recommend this gite complex for families, or for anyone wanting to relax and explore the area.

We saw a great Boy George and 80s show while we were staying, which was a fun bonus. Dave and Carol regularly put on international tribute acts and local French bands, so there's something for lots of tastes. Dave and Carol and their lovely family, including their daughters and dogs, welcomed us to La Charrue with open arms. They really add to the homely feel. Don't be put off by reviews from before they took over. We saw how much effort goes into making guests' stays enjoyable, from preparing and cooking fresh food to the whole family helping serve dinner. It's a proper family-run business in a beautiful location, and we couldn't fault it. If you're weighing up whether to book, just do it. You won't regret it!

Our feature night was a lucky bonus, with live music and fish, chips, and mushy peas that were amazing. We stayed for three nights and had a lovely time at La Charrue. It was our second visit after a great stay last year, and hopefully we'll be back next year. Dave and Carol are wonderful hosts and made sure we had everything we needed.

We stopped here for lunch during a long drive from the south of France, and Dave and Carol were so welcoming to us, our young daughter, and our dog. It was a lovely chance to relax and recharge before getting back on the road. We'd recommend it as a good place to break up a journey.
