6/10
The staff were really nice, and the location worked well, with the old centre about a 10-15 minute walk away. Our deluxe room was comfortable enough, though small, and the bar and restaurant terrace had a good view over the city and the Oise. But the problems were hard to ignore. A hotel delivery truck woke us at 4:30 am, with loud noise for an hour, which was unacceptable. There was also a constant sewer smell in the corridor, bar, restaurant, and terrace, something that needs attention for health reasons. Breakfast had stale bread and nuts, dry, tasteless croissants and other viennoiseries, and undrinkable decaf coffee. The madeleines, 0% fromage blanc, granola, sausages, and eggs were good, though the granola portion was tiny. Dinner the night before was better, but uneven: my daurade with fennel and sauce was lovely, while the soggy, tasteless fries de l’Atelier cost 8 euros and the Caesar salad was much better at home. One of us can't eat broccoli, but it came in the mixed green vegetables despite the menu, and the only replacement offered was green beans, which we hadn't wanted or ordered, so we declined. This hotel could do better for its guests.

The staff were polite and attentive, and the hotel felt modern, clean, and well placed. The rooms were average in size, with modern furnishings and good appointments. There were plenty of spaces in the car park when we drove there. An impressive place.

The restaurant food was delicious, and the hotel itself was nice with clean rooms. I came from Paris for a short weekend away and had booked a massage, but it didn't feel sufficient. The massage wasn't professional, and the pool was so small I couldn't stay in it for more than 10 minutes. Everything else was good, though! 👍

Suite 312 was very comfortable and non-smoking. Having the bathroom separate from the WC was handy, though the WC smelled of cigarette smoke.

Things went badly right at the entrance: I hurt myself on stones that were hard to see when getting out of the car. The hotel didn't offer ice or any help. The restaurant isn't open for lunch, and they ask for a 100 euro deposit at check-in.
