Ibis Budget Nimes Marguerittes - A9

The night staff were friendly, but that was the one bright spot. I arrived around 11 p.m. on a freezing late December night and found a cold room, not the warm, cozy one I expected. At that price, it was shameful. The bedside table and the edge of the bathroom sink were filthy too. Then there's the 10 a.m. checkout, with the cleaner knocking at the door at 9. I've never seen anything like it. I told reception in the morning, but they offered no compensation, even though I was meant to book another room in the same area two days later. I booked somewhere else instead, for much less, with noon checkout and a heated room. Avoid this place at all costs!

It's handy being right by the motorway and good for the price. But this was our second visit, and there was no hot water when we arrived at 6 pm or again at 7 am. That was annoying, especially after a 1000 km drive.

The bathroom door wouldn't close, and its fan didn't work, but everything else was fine. Breakfast was good, and the man at reception was incredibly nice when we arrived on 31.12. at 21.30. It's right by the A9 exit, Nimes Est.

The price is a little high, but I was pleasantly surprised by how friendly and helpful the staff were, especially during the night of December 31st to January 1st. The rooms were clean and comfortable. I recommend this hotel, and thank you for your hospitality.
