Terres de France - Les Hameaux de Pomette

The pool was a lovely spot on hot afternoons, and the place felt peaceful, away from the crowds. Our chalet had everything we needed, with plenty of space between it and the others. We stayed for about ten days and appreciated how welcoming the managers were. They also gave us great tips on local specialties and places to explore in the Lot region. Thanks for a really enjoyable stay. We’ll be back soon.

We only booked one night on our way through, but wished we could have stayed longer. The park is small and set in lovely surroundings, and each chalet is fully equipped with parking right beside it. The managers gave us a very warm welcome and explained everything clearly. There are several nearby village restaurants where you can get delicious meals.

We felt watched throughout our stay. The staff patrolled the grounds, and the managers even bragged about using a surveillance camera to keep an eye on guests. On the first night, we asked why nobody was sitting on the terrace, especially in 38°C heat with no air conditioning. After that, we quickly learned to stay inside our accommodation to avoid upsetting the staff. They also demanded extra payments without being able to explain them, then verbally and physically assaulted us in front of young children. There were bans at every turn, and we experienced the managers as acting in bad faith, with no sense of hospitality or moral compass. AVOID!!! The staff were verbally and physically aggressive, and this was no place to relax. Don't be fooled by the positive reviews that outnumber the negative ones. Look closely and you'll find plenty that match what we experienced. @Terre de France, you need to act. It's a shame, because the setting could make for a great stay if the staff were competent.

A good night's sleep was easy here, since it was very quiet at night. The chalet was clean and equipped for a week's stay, with green surroundings and plenty of space between the chalets. The staff were friendly and gave useful sightseeing advice. Hameaux de Pomette is well placed for Cahors, Rocamadour, the castles of the Périgord Noir, and other attractions around the region. Everyday essentials are close by, within 1.5 km, including a butcher, delicatessen, bakery, restaurants, a bar, tobacconist, and small supermarket. I'd happily stay here again if I return to the area. Thank you :)
