The staff made a real effort during my stay. Reception were polite and helpful, and the cleaning team did an excellent job. The hotel’s location was convenient too, with transport and nearby attractions easy to reach. The room got uncomfortably warm at night because the air conditioning didn’t cool, it only moved the air around. Around 1:30-2:00 AM each night, it shut off completely. When I tried calling reception or room service, the room phones didn’t work, so I had to call the hotel’s main number from my mobile. I raised it in person the following evening. The gentleman at reception said the system only sends air through ducts and has no cooling. He told me to open the window, which isn’t what I’d expect at a Novotel. I strongly recommend Accor carry out proper audits of the property’s systems and assets. Air conditioning should work and be standard, especially when compared with international chains like Marriott, where room comfort is consistently ensured. The carpets were also old and visibly dirty, bringing down the impression of cleanliness. Despite the staff’s excellent efforts, the state of the property and the cooling problem made this a disappointing stay.

The breakfast was good, and I liked it. EuroDisney (paris disneyland) is 26 km away, about a 30-minute drive. The station is also a 700-meter walk, with trains to other places.

I can’t recommend this hotel. The manager and reception staff were extremely rude, and my stay was unpleasant from beginning to end. They don’t seem suited to hospitality and should consider another line of work. If zero stars were an option, that’s what I’d give.

I’m still in shock and speechless. I’ve never been yelled at by a hotel manager before, and this incident has made me think a thousand times before visiting France again. We’re now pursuing legal action. The communication was awful, especially with the manager Martyna. When we called to ask about a refund, she shouted at us and kept interrupting in an abhorrent way. I asked her three times to let me speak, but she wouldn’t. I’d rather not say more.

I booked half board for myself and my two children, but meals were only covered for two people, leaving out my younger child with no warning or flexibility. We ended up having dinner at the nearby Ibis (3 stars), where the menu was very limited, most dishes weren’t available, and the food was extremely poor. We’d arrived expecting a nice meal at a 4-star hotel, but had to accept bad food at a lower-class hotel or go hungry. I tried several times to get a solution and received no help. I was told the manager was “on leave” throughout my stay. Although I’d paid for meals in advance, I had to buy food myself because of the poor quality and unprofessional handling. I’ve traveled extensively and stayed in hotels of all levels, but have never encountered such mismanagement or lack of care. It felt like a clear disregard for guest satisfaction. On arrival, nobody asked for ID or documents, which seemed strange and unprofessional. I later realized the hotel was deliberately avoiding the real details of my reservation. I filed a formal complaint with the booking platform and French consumer authorities. I don’t recommend this hotel.
