Manoir d'Aubeterre

Marvellous, just loved it!

The pool area has a stunning view, and I really enjoyed the pleasant saltwater. It’s so quiet here, with only birdsong and wind moving through the trees to be heard. The rooms are roomy and come with a beautiful view. Inside, the living room’s decorated with lovely old furnishings, so it feels like being in a proper castle. The hosts were kind and helpful, and breakfast was fantastic, with as much garden fruit as you wanted, several cheeses, and organic juice. A little slice of paradise in the middle of a village. Everything was perfect.

Rosy and her husband made us feel so welcome, and Rosy was especially sweet and helpful. Thanks again for the eggs! We were lucky to spend three nights in their charming little manor, which has kept its authentic feel and is beautifully decorated. It’s a great base for exploring this lovely region, with its outstanding walks and food. We’re already looking forward to coming back, using the pool, and maybe picking up something lovely from their antique shop in Riom.

It’s a peaceful little refuge that feels as though time has stood still. The rooms have the grand look of the 17th century, with beautiful décor, while still offering modern touches like showers and lovely bathrooms.
