Domaine de la Mandoune gave us a relaxing week in a Mediterranean-style setting, with comfortable, spacious apartments, nice surroundings, and a very fair price. It’s quiet and has a nice pool, though it isn’t a beach destination. A stylish, pleasant base for a car-based holiday, and we’ll come again. One important distinction: Domaine de la Mandoune and Jardins de la Mandoune are different organisations. I switched from “Jardins” to “Domaine,” which, for example, offers free Wi-Fi. Jardins does not.

This was our second visit, and we may well come a third time. It’s ideal if you like an independent holiday with peace and comfort. The staff are very friendly, the grounds are well kept, and the apartments are lovely, with high quality, practical furnishings in a charming modern country style. There’s a dishwasher, washing machine, and dryer, plus a barbecue area with charcoal provided. You can order baguettes, croissants, and different pain au gratin pastries the day before for the morning bread service, which makes breakfast even nicer. There are some lovely day trip destinations nearby. Naturists can also find a well-maintained sandy beach at Cap d'Agde, though there’s an entrance fee.

The menu is small, but the food was fresh and delicious, and the value for money was excellent 😉👍. The restaurant is in a castle setting and we were welcomed very warmly. Thanks again for the excellent meal. We’ll definitely be back.

All the swimming pools were out of order when we arrived, and nobody told us before we set off. Then getting compensation became very difficult. Scandalous.
