What looked good on Booking.com turned into a bad stay. The customer service was poor, and staff struggled with language. They gave me the worst room instead of the one I had booked, apparently because I had already paid. There was no cleaning and the sheets weren't changed, so I had to use dirty ones and wipe things myself. If you cancel, they won't refund your money, even if you haven't stayed the night. Be careful.

The location was a real treat, just a stone's throw from two lovely beaches, plenty of good French restaurants, and a delicious street market. The rooms were clean, and breakfast was decent for the price. We stayed five days and came away thinking Le Mistral deserves more than its two stars. At first, I was hesitant about the rating. Our travel agency, eDreams, had misled us about a balcony that didn't exist, even though that's what we paid for. Jean Marc and his wife weren't responsible for that, but they were kind and helpful and found us a solution. They're a lovely couple who know how to look after their guests. A true pleasure, and thanks to Le Mistral for making it possible.

The location's the one good thing: the beach is across the street, with restaurants and a convenience store nearby. Inside, though, it smelled strange and didn't feel clean at all. The bed has me terrified to sleep in it, and there was hair on the shelves. Nothing had been swept or mopped. This isn't what I paid for, and everything they advertised feels like a complete lie. DO NOT STAY HERE!

Nicolas gave us so many good tips for food and sightseeing that he was practically our tour guide. The staff were lovely, and we really enjoyed our stay. Our room was modern and clean, and the area had several beaches within walking distance plus lots of bars and restaurants. The street can get loud at night, so earplugs help. We'd gladly return and recommend the hotel.
