We paid $506 for two nights, but couldn't stay and were offered only $26.99 with no other adjustment. The flat wasn't ready for our 3 pm check-in, and we were told the previous tenants' cleaning wouldn't be finished until after 9 pm, which wasn't part of the rental conditions. Staff said they couldn't ask the tenants to leave. Getting there was also a problem: the road was closed, and they said it was my responsibility to find that out. Police told us there was no parking, despite what we'd been told. We had to leave and drive 3 1/2 hours back to Aniane. Across my travels to 43 countries over 24 years, this was the worst experience I've had. The rudeness and lack of professionalism were unlike anything I'd encountered.
