C2 hôtel

The breakfast buffet gets two thumbs up, and the staff were amazing and really helpful. I enjoyed all six days at C2 Hotel. It’s a little removed from everything, which makes it quiet, but most points of interest are still walkable.

We only stayed one night, but appreciated the evening turndown and attentive housekeeping. Service was considerate and professional from the start: we were welcomed at the door, helped with our bags, and shown to our room. Earlier reviews also make it clear that the hotel takes guest feedback seriously. The room had high ceilings, plenty of closet space, and a comfortable mattress. It was spacious, though a few parts felt dated; everything worked as expected. We also had Chromecast, Nespresso pods, robes, slippers, and a bathroom towel warmer. There’s a spa with an indoor pool and whirlpool. We parked ourselves, but the nearby streets were busy and spaces were limited. Valet parking is available behind the hotel on rue Roux de Brignoles.

The hotel arranged an early morning taxi to the airport for me, and I was charged 90 euros. Uber or Bolt usually costs around 40 euros. I should have checked the price with the staff or driver first, to be fair. The rest of my stay was great: the place was clean, the staff were friendly and amazing, and the pool was fantastic. It was surprisingly quiet and relaxing for a big city. I’d happily stay again.

The Wi-Fi has already dropped and disconnected four times, and when it works I’m getting only about 1.5mbps up and down. It took me 20 minutes to upload this review. The burger on the menu is chicken, too, which is the worst part. I’ve just checked in, so I haven’t explored the small hotel yet, but the room isn’t what I’d expect at a five star hotel with a five star price. There are fingerprints, scuffs, and dents on the walls, cracked and missing shower tiles, and the grout job is horrible. The hammam button panel is broken. The room is clean and the bed seems nice, but I expected much better condition and workmanship.
