La Purple Suite

I paid the owner an extra €80 by bank transfer for champagne and other things, on top of the reservation cost. None of it arrived on the day, and a month later I still hadn't been refunded. Absolutely shameful. Thieves! I won't let this go, and I strongly advise against staying here.

We were incredibly disappointed with this stay. The host offered no solution and stopped answering our calls and messages from day one, leaving us stuck in an unbearable situation for seven days. The sewer smell was nauseating, and we couldn't visit the city. The trouble started the morning after we arrived, when the front door lock jammed and left us locked out. We called the host, but a locksmith didn't show up until late that evening, after more than 11 hours. He looked at the problem but didn't fix it, and promised to return the next morning. He never came back. There was also a terrible sewer odor coming from the dishwasher that spread through the apartment. The host told us to run an empty cycle, but the dishwasher was clogged, and we feared it would overflow. Cockroaches were everywhere, including the closet, bedroom, and bathroom. Then the host claimed we had broken the lock ourselves and demanded compensation. The lock seems to have had recurring problems, since there were at least six stickers with locksmith numbers on the door. One more thing, the listing doesn't say that you have to pick up breakfast yourself from the bakery, and what you get is nothing like the photos. Avoid this place. What a catastrophic stay with a dishonest host, a scam!
