The weekend started really well. We loved the location, hotel, bar, breakfast, and room, and the warm welcome made us feel special, especially as ambassadors. We even played pétanque on their own field. Then I tried the fitness room and was disappointed. The treadmill mat had a hole, the machine wobbled, and the plastic part you hold was broken, so I couldn't do my usual workout. The rowing machine screen was broken too. I stopped, frustrated. It didn't meet a 5-star standard, which is why I didn't give five stars. Please invest in the fitness facilities.

I stayed for my 70th birthday and the room was beyond amazing. It was ready early, and the entrance room was fabulous. The front-of-house service was stunning, and the bar and restaurant were fabulous too. Customer service was supportive and attentive at every level. It's a user-friendly luxury hotel, and I'd highly recommend it. It would be my only choice again. 🥂

The staff were really good and did everything they could to make our stay easy and pleasant. Breakfast was good too. But the food in the hotel restaurant, including the club sandwich and chicken, unfortunately wasn't good. We traveled with a baby and needed USB-C charging outlets and dimmed lights, but neither was available. The Junior Suite felt dark and sparsely furnished, and the rooms could use a renovation. We've stayed at plenty of 5-star hotels around the world, and at this price the older rooms were disappointing. The furniture style felt like 2001. Our first stay at an Intercontinental was good, but that's about it. We've stayed at another 5-star hotel in town with newer rooms for half the price, and we'd go back there instead.

The location is great, and our room had a large, beautiful balcony with a fabulous view. The hotel itself is impressive, but it falls short in several ways for a 5-star place. Breakfast was inadequate and almost inedible. The scrambled eggs were watery, there was a bucket of greasy, partly cooked bacon, and the pastry baskets ran empty every morning for all three days. Even getting a cup of coffee each morning was a challenge. It would've been nice to have a bottle of water in the room, too. If we return to Marseille, we'll try another hotel.

We stayed here at the end of our honeymoon, and it was amazing. The room was spacious and comfortable, and the food was delicious. Everyone on staff was friendly and helpful. We had lunch in the restaurant, where our server, Martin, was excellent and gave us a few good ideas for places around the city. I'd definitely stay here again and highly recommend it.
