One star is generous. This wasn't even a hotel, just a very basic apartment above a restaurant that wasn't open. The balcony doors were broken, and the building entrance was completely open, so the whole place was exposed despite the access codes we were given. There was no WiFi, the TV didn't work, and the room felt unclean. We found a dirty ashtray and a burnt-out candle, and the mouse bait box made us wonder about rodents. There were no coffee capsules or water, and no reception or staff to contact. One person seemed to be around as we left in the morning, but didn't engage or respond when we greeted them. The main road outside is VERY noisy. The whole place is a shambles.

We came in hungry and lost, with no expectations, and were treated like royalty. The food was tasty, unusual, and served in good-sized portions. The staff were amazing, especially with our exhausted, messy, wild kids. We were so happy. Thank you, thank you, thank you!

Don't stay here. We had to figure out how to get inside by looking through old reviews, and we never saw anyone at reception during the trip. The rooms were really cold, and the whole place was by far the strangest we've ever encountered. We also tried the restaurant. We're not Jewish, and when we found out it was kosher the staff were so rude that we left. We clearly weren't welcome. Do not stay here!

The crowd was a fun mix and added to the atmosphere, which felt unlike any kosher restaurant I've been to. It's a beautifully presented place by the beach in Marseille, with a shabby chic look that's mostly chic. The menu is creative and the service was wonderful. We absolutely adored it and highly recommend it. All in all, a lovely experience.
