Bed and breakfast chez l'habitant

The b&b has all the essentials, including a good shower, a small kitchen and fridge, and comfortable beds. Laurent was a very welcoming host and gave great recommendations for the Marseille area. I’d highly recommend staying here.

Although the host was nice and the place seemed pretty clean, we found bed bugs during the night and kept getting bitten. The neighborhood felt really bad and not safe at all. I do not recommend this place.

I found this place by chance on Google Maps, and I’ve stayed several times. The website says I’m part of the LGBTQIA+ community, but I’m not at all. Laurent, the manager, has always been fantastic with me. He cleans every day, treats all guests with respect, and is extremely responsive when needed. Each room has its own key, as does the main entrance, and guests can use a cooktop, microwave, and kettle. I’ve had no issues with theft or anything like that, and I feel comfortable leaving my shoes at the entrance. Keys are available from coded lockboxes. There are several restaurants and shops nearby. You’ll feel right at home.

The hosts were lovely, always ready with tips for places to see and restaurants to try. Breakfast was a highlight too, with fresh local products. The rooms were spotless and nicely decorated, and the B&B is only minutes from central Marseille, so it’s easy to explore while still having a quiet place to come back to. A real peaceful spot in the city.
