The garden is a lovely mix of shade and sun, and it's quiet. I like leaving reviews because I use them to choose hotels and restaurants myself, and I'd read all the reviews for this fairly new hotel, around 60 at the time. I love the place and come to Marseille often, so I'll be back. A few years ago this area was a hotel desert. The decor suits me, classic but not dusty or uncool, with bright garden furniture. The rooms and shared spaces are nicely done, and THE HOTEL IS VERY CLEAN. Staff are really involved in making sure you're happy and everything works. There's ALWAYS someone at reception. It seems they even leave a note if they step away to use the restroom. I booked a twin, which wasn't spacious, but the small space was planned well. Hooks, a whole row of them, are so useful in a hotel. I liked the shelves above the beds and sink, and the USB-C wall plug was appreciated. Someone clearly thought these details through. To be clear, I didn't find the room too small. It worked perfectly, and I think it may be one of the smaller rooms. Some reviewers say it's far from the center or public transport. I guess we have different ideas of “far”: it's a quick walk to the T1, which connects to the underground system. Easy as pie. The lighting controls are the one design choice I don't like. We couldn't control the bathroom and toilet lights on and off, which wasn't great. We should at least control when they turn on, even if they switch off by themselves after a while. Motion sensors might be even better, so getting up at night to pee doesn't jolt you or your partner out of sleep with bright lights. Five stars. Expect to see me back in the fall.

The guest areas and courtyard were lovely, with lots of charm, and all the staff were very friendly and helpful. The hotel felt new and clean despite being in an old building, and our ground-floor twin room was clean too. The location was good and quiet. Our room was so small that we couldn't open suitcases on the floor to get our clothes out. There was no wardrobe or even a hook behind the bathroom door for a towel. Maybe some rooms are larger. Another downside: storing our cases in lockers for just two hours while we walked around town the next morning cost €6. A free luggage room would be better, as in most hotels. Still, there were plenty of positive things about the stay.

We had a really nice stay. The hotel is new and modern, with a lovely design and, above all, very friendly staff. It's a bit of a walk to the city center, but that also means you don't hear much noise. Having a kettle for tea or coffee and a microwave to use was very handy. If we return to Marseille, we'd choose Grand Juste again.

The kitchen and garden made a really nice spot for breakfast, which was free during the hotel's opening month. Our room was very nice and clean, and the air conditioning handled the 30C heat wonderfully. The hotel itself is awesome, in an equally awesome part of Marseille. Cours Julien, with some of the city's best bars and restaurants, is only a short walk away.

We had a large room looking onto the garden, and it was all clean. The air conditioning was a welcome surprise in the hot, humid weather. The lounge area is lovely, and the people in the lobby were welcoming, smiling, and always happy to help. The metro is within walking distance, along with the many cool bars and restaurants around Cours Julien. This newly opened hotel is great value for the price, and I'd definitely recommend it.
