Luxury Rental Marseille Imperial - Rue de la République

The room was spotless and well cared for, and the location made it easy to enjoy Marseille. The staff were warm and really went out of their way. They noticed at check-in that my birthday fell during our stay, upgraded our room, then left me a card and chocolates on the day. I’d happily stay here again next time I’m in Marseille.

The reception team made us feel welcome on both visits, especially Selma, who was so lovely during our first stay that we talked about her while touring and looked forward to seeing her again. Everyone at reception was professional and helpful. We’d gladly recommend NH Collection Marseilles and return. We stayed two nights at the start of our trip and two at the end. The location worked very well for us: restaurants and shops are close, and the Old Port is a 10-15 minute walk away, with a quieter, less touristy feel nearby. Both rooms were clean and comfortable, though the bathrooms are extremely small. We liked having a kettle and BBC news in English on TV. Breakfast was good, but there was always a long queue for the coffee machine. Having urns of “American” coffee as another option might shorten the wait and reduce the frustration we overheard, as well as cost the hotel less. We understand not everyone is American, of course.

The staff did so much to make us happy, and breakfast was delicious. Our room was warm, clean, and had a fantastic view. We couldn’t have picked a better place. 5/5, totally recommend!

We asked for a quiet room and the staff took that request seriously, so we were very happy with the room. They also dealt quickly with a small housekeeping issue. The location is ideal for us, close to the Old Port but away from its busy feel. We can certainly recommend this excellent hotel.
