Breakfast or dinner on the balcony was lovely, and there's also a terrace downstairs. We stayed in the Elise room and really liked its authentic charm. It was spacious and quiet, with a beautiful, roomy bathroom. The layout works well, with one main entrance opening onto the terrace on the first floor and the separate rooms on the second.

The room was wonderfully spacious, and the little balcony with chairs was a nice spot to sit outside with a drink or some snacks. It's a bit away from the central area, but I actually liked the calm, peaceful neighborhood. The only drawback was the air conditioning, which is locked so you can't set it below 26 Celsius. The room wasn't especially cool for sleeping, though it was cool enough.

The mattress and pillows were excellent, which is rare in hotels, and the proprietor/manager was friendly and helpful. Rates were very reasonable. It was extremely hot while we were there, so I would've appreciated a stronger air conditioner, but I'd still stay again and keep my 5/5. This is an unusual little guesthouse, a short walk from both trams and the metro. The main station is 10 minutes away by metro, and the old port takes 15 minutes by tram. There's no reception, you enter with codes and collect room keys from small vaults. Breakfast isn't offered, which didn't bother us, and the room kitchenettes have coffee makers.

The location was ideal, with a lovely park nearby and cool restaurants and bars in the neighborhood. My husband and I had a wonderful few days at Maison Dormoy. Isabelle welcomed us warmly and kindly arranged an early breakfast one day when we asked. Breakfast was delicious, and our room was comfortable and quiet, with a lovely terrace. Highly recommend!

The location made getting around easy, with a few small shops nearby, one stop to Longchamp and four stops to veux port. Everything felt perfect, and I'll definitely return when I'm back in Marseilles. The host is a lovely, kind, helpful lady, and my son adores her. The room was very clean and everything worked. The bed was firm and comfortable, and the air conditioner was a real help in the warm weather. There were tea bags and little sweets in the room, which made it feel relaxing. Even though our room faced the street, it was quiet once the window was fully shut. I slept very well both nights. Best boutique hotel I've stayed at in Europe.
