Maison Juste

The communal space was great for relaxing with coffee or wine, with a wide selection of books, games, and activities. There was even a record player with a nice range of albums. I also enjoyed the garden seating outside, a sunny spot for fresh air. Restaurants and sights were an easy walk away, public transit was close, and the area didn't feel unsafe. A couple of things to know: the shower is open to the room, while only the toilet has a door, so it may suit singles, couples, or people who aren't shy best. If you arrive without receiving your door code and room number, there's a number outside to call, and they respond quickly.

The staff were really helpful, and the hotel itself is wonderful. But I found a bed bug on the dress hanging in my room, number 33, then another in my luggage a few days later. That's why I can only give it two stars.

We had a pizza and wine evening in the shared garden on our last night, with the lounge record player and guitar adding to it. Maison Juste worked beautifully for our daughter’s wedding in Marseille: we booked 11 of its 18 rooms for guests coming from around the world. Our dates and room arrangements changed repeatedly as travel plans shifted, and every request was handled quickly and without trouble. The rooms are spacious by French standards, clean, and beautifully furnished. It felt private and safe while lively Marseille was right outside. Solo guests, couples, families, and big groups would all fit in here. The house manager and housekeeper helped make our stay so enjoyable. We’d gladly choose it again for another Marseille visit.

We loved having breakfast on the outside terrace in the morning. The rooms are modern and have lots of thoughtful touches, and the staff were very friendly and went out of their way to help. They let us check in early and even looked after our luggage after checkout. The hotel is close to cours Julien, so there are plenty of good cafes, bars, and restaurants nearby. A fantastic place to stay in Marseille.
