The reception staff were friendly and helpful, and I had no complaints about the service. The apartment was clean, with the kitchen tools and utensils we needed. It was inexpensive, and getting around by transport wasn't too bad. The location deserves thought before booking. It’s about 40 minutes from the center and beach, and some streets nearby are dirty, with rats and quiet, lonely stretches. There’s no A/C, and our room was on the 10th floor, so coming back after hours of walking around Marseille in the summer was uncomfortable. The shower only has a curtain, not a glass door, so water can spill onto the bathroom floor and seep into the bedroom if you’re not careful. The vivid blue furniture also became unpleasant to live with over several days.

I should've looked beyond Expedia and checked Google first. This place is so dirty and careless, and housekeeping should be ashamed of the lack of effort. I just got here and had been looking forward to a shower, but now I feel really uncomfortable. I've never been to Marseille before. If it weren't so late, I'd find another hotel.

The staff were nice, understanding, and very helpful, and the area was good, with the metro only a ten-minute walk away. But avoid this place in summer. As advertised, there’s no AC. The fans just move the hot air around, and even with the windows and door open, the room stayed at 32°C.

It’s cheap and basically fine, as advertised, but the room fan barely cools anything in summer. They change the towels and bed linen once a week, which isn’t enough in the heat, though they do tell you that beforehand. They say parking is available, but because of 'break ins and robberies' they actually tell you to park on the street, where people drive as if it’s bumper cars. The area is very dirty and doesn’t feel safe, with rats everywhere, though that seems to be the city in general. A pretty meh stay.
