A market downstairs has fruit, vegetables, bread, and groceries. The location is really good, with the metro a minute’s walk away and cours Julien seven minutes on foot. Of all the places we stayed in different countries, this was my favorite. Having a small kitchen made life much easier and kept the trip more affordable.

I feel so violated. I left my bags with the staff after they said they’d be kept in a safe, secure room. When I was leaving, I noticed my phone charger was missing and was told I must have misplaced it. Then I realized my whole makeup bag was gone, with hundreds of dollars’ worth of makeup, along with my headphones. I’m sure there’s more I haven’t even noticed yet. I was robbed.

The staff were kind and the rooms clean. Noailles metro station is just around the corner, and the Vieux Port is a five-minute walk away. Definitely one of the best places to sleep in Marseille.

The room was good, but booking.com said parking was free when I booked. At check-in, reception asked me to pay for it. Please get this clarified before booking.
