We were left without accommodation after a delayed flight brought us to reception at 2 a.m. to collect our keys. There was no key for our apartment, and our calls and emails got no reply. With hotels full at that hour, we had to find a random place for the night. It took two days and several more voicemails and emails before they got back to us. Getting a refund then took at least a week and a lot of back and forth. The service was unreliable and there was no accountability. Not professional at all. If you want a peaceful stay, go elsewhere.

We arrived around midnight, and late check-in went smoothly, which had been our main worry. The apartment was nice and in a great spot, and everything matched the description on Booking.com. Some areas could have been cleaner, but the overall standard was still high and we weren’t disappointed.

They said our reservation had been canceled when we arrived to check in, though I’d never received any notice beforehand. Another couple was already waiting for the apartment. I had to contact Booking.com, and only then was the booking officially canceled, leaving me with nowhere to stay. A really disrespectful way to treat customers. Scammers.

We got to the apartment at 3 p.m. for our Booking reservation, and the woman who let us in said it had been canceled. There’d been no message to tell us. I called Booking.com at 3:12, and only after that did an email arrive confirming the cancellation. We were left with nowhere to stay.

I got a message canceling my stay on the very day I was due to leave, while I was already on the train to Marseille. Since I’d booked through Booking.com, they just told me to contact the site. They’re not reliable, and an advance booking can still leave you without a place to sleep. They gave my room to someone else for twice the price. They overbook. Outrageous, avoid them.
