Domaine de Combe Ramond

The people running the estate were so friendly and pleasant, and our bungalow was comfortable and very well equipped. There are lots of activities and lovely views across the pretty, well-kept grounds. A short stay, but a great one. I recommend it!

The forest camping pitches and the new sanitary block are well worth checking out. There’s also plenty for kids, from the playground and tennis courts to summer activities, with options for adults too. The estate is huge, with a great view over Lake Geignes, which you can reach on foot. It has new accommodation in several styles, including safari tents, mobile homes and chalets. The business changed hands at the beginning of March 2020, and the new team is working hard to make guests’ stays enjoyable. It’s a lovely place for a summer holiday, wedding or seminar.

The owner made room for all our requests, even last-minute changes, and was really kind. He seemed a little reserved at first, but turned out to be very flexible. He’s brave to manage everything alone in retirement, so be gentle with him. We had a fantastic weekend celebrating a birthday. There are plenty of beds, the scenery is beautiful, and the room was very welcoming. We’ll definitely come back!

The family’s friendliness and hospitality cost it a star for us. We often felt like we were bothering them, and they were very careful with spending. Still, we had a good stay. The setting is magnificent, and the wedding venue was perfect, with lots of activities, several rooms, and plenty of space. It’s well equipped. I recommend it.
