Manoir du Mortier

The rooms are superb, and the bathrooms are huge and spotless. We were 11 people, and the place was clean and well suited to our group. The pool isn’t heated, which is my one small criticism, but we still swam. The fridge was a little small for 11, though we managed. It’s an incredibly beautiful, peaceful place, apart from us 11 girls, haha. The value for money is unbeatable. Nothing to complain about, it was perfect! Don’t hesitate.

Each room is thoughtfully decorated and has a real sense of transporting you somewhere else. The owners are incredibly welcoming, and the setting is exceptionally peaceful. I highly recommend this gîte. We had an extraordinary stay.

The swimming pool was a real bonus for a weekend with friends, and the grounds are magnificent. Manoir du Mortier in Meaulne is a place of tranquility and escape, with delicate Baroque-style decor that carries you into another era. Our hosts were welcoming and kind, always on-site but very discreet. For us, the three Ms in its name fit perfectly: Magnificent, Marvelous, and Magical. I highly recommend it.

Tucked into the Tronçais forest, the Manoir du Mortier is wonderfully peaceful. There’s no noise in the rooms, and the day starts with a superb breakfast shared with other guests, followed by the option of a dip in the pool. A kitchen is available whenever you want to make a drink, and the Wi-Fi is excellent. The signs from Meaulne are enough to find the manor, though if you’re unsure of your directions, it’s a good idea to locate it on a map beforehand. This is one of those places that stays with you. The owner, helped by her two sons, has ingeniously adapted an old building into an elegant, comfortable, refined guesthouse using many technical solutions.
