Le M de Megève

Megeve is a picture perfect alpine village, and there are plenty of restaurants, though most are very expensive. We knew the place catered to wealthy visitors and were fine with that, having lived in Aspen. The ski area, though, was a real letdown. Its infrastructure feels worn out, with extremely dated chairlifts, gondolas and trams. We even rode a surface Poma Lift that looked like it could date from the 1960s. For somewhere that sees itself as high end, the skiing was disappointing. If you’re after 10,000 euro ski suits and caviar, this may suit you. For reasonably priced dining and a top shelf ski experience, I’d go elsewhere. There are many better ski areas with up to date infrastructure.

The hotel is gorgeous, cozy and welcoming, and the skiing was the best I’ve ever experienced. My instructor was exceptional, and the hotel handled every detail. I was already dreaming about coming back before I left. What made the stay feel so special was Christopher, the manager. He was kind, helpful and consistently went above and beyond. When I arrived, I realized the airport taxi driver had taken my purse and left with it. I was panicking, without money or belongings, and felt my trip was ruined. Somehow Christopher tracked him down, contacted him himself and persuaded him to return my purse. I still don’t know how he managed it. He was like a detective, and I was amazed by his dedication and professionalism. He deserves recognition for the work he does. This was one of the most incredible hotels I’ve ever visited, in the most beautiful fairytale city I’ve seen. Everyone worked to make things comfortable and seamless. I’m so grateful to Christopher for making the stay feel perfect. I wish we could be friends in real life, and I wish I could take him back to New York City with me. He and his hotel are amazing.

Our suite was spotless, luxurious and comfortable, a lovely place to unwind after skiing in Megève. M de Megève feels both stylish and cozy, with beautiful design and a warm welcome. The staff were kind and attentive, and made everything easy. We’d gladly come back. Special thanks to Antoine🥰

Their attentive, efficient support and genuine care made everything run smoothly, and I can confidently say it was the best concierge service in the world.
