Les Chalets du Mont d’Arbois & Spa

The spa is amazing, and the concierge team will do whatever they can to plan your whole trip. The hotel itself is a beautiful chalet, and everyone, from the front desk and concierge to the waiters, had a great attitude toward service. The quality was excellent overall. The weak point for us was the valet and shuttle service. The hotel is far from town, so without a car you need a shuttle to get downtown and to the ski area. It wasn’t well organized. Sometimes we waited over 40 minutes, even after being told they’d arrive in five. We were waiting with our 10-month-old, and the baby arrived much later than expected. The reasons varied, traffic or other guests, but I didn’t feel comfortable with the service. I’d still come back without hesitation.

The quiet was deep enough to feel therapeutic, and the Edelweiss room looked out over the pool and valley. The place has a classic luxury feel, with cozy wood, big armchairs and hardly any noise. I also loved the food and the staff’s kindness. The evening massages revived me for another day of skiing. One Sunday, the staff even made a Mission Impossible dash into town to find medical mouthwash for my son. You do need a shuttle to reach the slopes, but the drivers were quicker than I’d be on foot, so it didn’t bother me. A great, peaceful stay.

We had a glorious week of skiing, with Chalet Mont d'Artois as a spectacular base. The Navettes ran efficiently, everyone at the hotel was friendly and efficient, and the service at the Mont d'artois ski shop was amazing. Thank you.

The bedroom heating wasn’t strong enough. Opening the balcony door a few times made the room cold quickly. The bathroom was very small, with no shower or ventilation. The toilet is in a separate closet, but its air is vented into the bathroom instead of outside, and since the bathroom has no ventilation, the toilet smell stays there.
