Vegetarian choices used to be poor or nonexistent. The non-vegetarian food is good, but I’d rather have a complete meal than leave out the meat part. Cooking vegetarian food isn’t difficult, so it was disappointing to see you so behind the times. We came back in February 2023. We couldn’t book for Valentine’s because the set menu had no vegetarian option, so we tried again the next evening, when the menu had a whole vegan section. The food looked and tasted good, a definite improvement on our last visit. Still, when I go out to eat, I expect a balanced, full meal. My main course was a small bowl of finely sliced celeriac, beetroot squash, and beetroot with thyme-infused olive oil. That was it. It tasted good, but it was a side dish, not a meal. There are plenty of simple ways to make balanced vegetarian and vegan meals with protein. Please stop claiming to cater adequately if the chef isn’t up to it. Restaurants will keep getting poor reviews until they learn how to make tasty, balanced meals.
