Hôtel Moderne

Our continental breakfast was plentiful and delicious, with bread, pastries, preserves, hand-cut fresh fruit, yoghurt, juice, and tea or coffee each morning. The staff were all courteous, charming and helpful. The boutique hotel is beautifully decorated, the rooms are spotlessly clean, and the service is discreet and exemplary. I can’t recommend it highly enough. Genuinely a 10 out of 10.

The huge balcony looked out over the mountains and sea, and the hotel’s peaceful atmosphere made a lovely retreat after days spent exploring Menton. The location was perfect for getting around. I enjoyed our week so much that I booked another one for next year before we’d even left. I stayed at Résidence Hôtelière Chambord with my 15-year-old daughter. The place was immaculately clean and beautifully decorated, with a modern but warm, welcoming feel that made us feel at home. Every staff member we met was pleasant, professional and accommodating. Their kindness and attention to detail added a lot to our stay. I also met the lovely owner, who was welcoming and thoughtful, and clearly cared about giving guests a memorable experience. WiFi worked well throughout our stay, and the password came with our key card at check-in. Both TVs in the apartment were very large, with English options and apps such as YouTube and Netflix. All the staff spoke English, which was very helpful for us. I’d highly recommend Résidence Hôtelière Chambord to friends and family. It’s a true gem, and I’m already looking forward to going back.

The couch was the softest I’ve ever touched! The hotel was great and the price for a Saturday night was decent. I got upgraded to a suite because of a system error, with desk booking and online booking happening at the same time, which impressed me. A couple of things could be improved. They had only shower gel, so proper shampoo and conditioner would be good. I also found it odd that suites and apartments are charged a security fee, though that didn’t apply to me.

The only small snag for me was the internet. It took a while to connect on my phone, which was inconvenient because I needed to work, though it was stable and did what I needed once connected. The hotel is in a superb area, with convenient access to the beach, so exploring the city was easy and enjoyable. I loved the design, too. The modern style feels welcoming, with clear attention to detail from the lobby through to the well-appointed rooms, which are luxurious but comfortable. The staff were consistently friendly, professional and eager to help. Their warm hospitality made the stay more personal. A remarkable experience, and I highly recommend Residence Hôtelière Chambord for its location, design and friendly staff.
