We were a group of seven and all of us were happy with our stay. It’s a smaller, quieter hotel with a really pleasant atmosphere, especially in the dining room. The staff were easygoing and friendly, and the food and wine were very good. It’s a little outside the city, in a quiet setting. We enjoyed it.

There’s a small terrace outside and free parking, but you’ll need a car here. The hotel feels like it’s in the middle of nowhere, with no other restaurants within a reasonable walk. After 21:00, the front door needs a code, and it’s different from the gate code for the parking area, so email ahead if you expect to arrive late. Dinner is served between 19:00 and 20:30 or 21:00, with five appetisers, five main courses, and three desserts. On our first night they brought the wrong Salade appetiser, and the beefsteak I asked to be cooked medium came out well done. The food was good on the other three evenings, though, and I ordered steak again on the fourth night. The staff were very nice. Some speak English, but not everyone, so knowing a bit of French helps. Breakfast starts at 7:15, but it wasn’t anything special. The hotel has around ten rooms, I guess, and our room was small. The bathroom could use some maintenance. Getting internet required logging into a website with a Google account, and you might get spam mail if you do. Room: 3/5. Service: 3/5 for good personal service, but the internet was lacking. Location: 1/5 because there isn’t much to do nearby and there are no restaurant options close by.

Fine for a stopover, but not much more. The rooms were clean and functional, though they could use a lot of renovation. The WiFi in our room was painfully slow when it worked at all. Kids ended up killing ants in the room. Breakfast for four cost 60 euros, so you’d be better off buying your own at a grocery store or bakery.

The staff were kind from the first phone call while we were driving from the south of France to the north and looking for somewhere to stay. When we arrived, they made both us and our dog feel welcome. We’re vegetarians, and they gladly offered at least four or five dishes, not just salads. They also have options for all kinds of foodies, made with local fresh products. Because of Covid, they brought the delicious, nicely presented food to our room so we could eat safely. The kindness and service from the staff were excellent throughout our stay. Our room was clean and smelled nice, with tasteful decor, a comfortable bed, air conditioning and heating, a good-sized wardrobe, a couple of chairs and a table, nice stands, plenty of light, a TV, and WiFi that worked well. It was a good-sized, quiet, cozy room that felt like home. The bathroom was well equipped and had a powerful shower. There’s private parking and a lovely garden where you can walk or play with your dog, or sit with a coffee and look at the trees and bamboos. It’s a great stop for a night on the road, or a base for driving around to visit other villages. Hotels like this are a real jewel compared with chains that don’t offer personal service or even the basics of good service. They exceeded all our expectations for an unbeatable price. You can tell the place and its guests are cared for with love, attention to detail, and professionalism, while the relaxed atmosphere makes it easy to enjoy your time. It was a real pleasure. Thank you.

The friendly service couldn’t make up for the awful night we had. The air conditioning blasted cold air even on low, but raising the temperature made the room stuffy right away. We spent the night covered from head to toe with a blanket to stay warm, but it was too hot and made us sweat. As soon as we stuck a limb out, it felt freezing. Hotel staff also made loads of noise while preparing breakfast around 7am, and the wash basin was broken.
