Le Hameau du Comté de Foix

We stayed four nights as two families in a two-bedroom chalet, with a sofa bed in the living room. The concierge service was especially pleasant, helpful and kind. For the price, the experience was unbeatable. I highly recommend it.

The setting is really pleasant, with plenty of walks and activities nearby, and we had a very enjoyable stay. The chalet was spotless. Sandrine was warm and welcoming, and put in a lot of effort to make sure everything was right for her guests. She's a real professional, and we'll definitely return. A small downside: we were told chalet number 6 was the only one without the advertised dishwasher. That missing convenience should have been disclosed and reflected in the price. Also, if you want peace and quiet, avoid peak season. The chalets sit close together, with terraces facing one another.

We spent a wonderful week in autumn, and the weather was beautiful too. Sandrine was always available, and the chalet sits in a magnificent setting. The passing train really wasn't bothersome. Foix is 10 minutes away, and the location between Foix and Tarascon works well for visiting Foix, Tarascon, Ax-les-Thermes or Pas de la Casa, a little over an hour away by car. The photos show the setting.

This was my fifth rental here, and what a difference since Sandrine arrived. The cottages are now kept very well, with the cleaning and tidying taken care of, which wasn't the case before. Sandrine is welcoming and professional, and you can count on her to do her best to satisfy you. I'll be back in November. See you soon.
