Residence Les Ravines

The rooms are basic and a bit old, but clean. We stayed for a snowboarding weekend and they did the job perfectly. The location is great for the slopes, shops, bars, and restaurants. Our room faced the back and was very quiet, with little road noise.

We were really happy with our apartment for the week. There were three of us, two adults and one child, staying in January. Booking somewhere right on the slopes felt a little daunting, so here are a few details for anyone considering it. The view over the mountains was amazing. The bunk bed and double sofa bed were both comfortable, and sheets, linen, towels, and kitchen utensils were all provided. We cooked every night using food we’d brought up and some things from the Casino supermarket across the road. The apartment was warm, with ski storage downstairs, and there are plenty of nearby shops. There’s a laundry room downstairs on level 2. Washing costs about 7 euros, with drying extra. If you need laundry after 7 pm, there’s also a laundromat across the road. The location is ideal for getting around. The only downside was the thin walls, so noisy neighbours can be heard, though it wasn’t too much of a problem for us. We’d highly recommend staying here.

It’s centrally located and decent enough for the price. The place was fairly clean, the showers had good pressure, and we had no disturbances until the cleaner came into our room at 7 am on the last day. A few small changes would improve the stay: let guests check in earlier, since we arrived at noon and had to wait four hours with our bags; leave more than one roll of toilet paper; clean the rooms more thoroughly, as there was a lot of dust; and give clearer instructions for the last day, since not everyone notices the notes in the lifts. I’d stay again.

The location made this a great value for the resort. Shops and a bakery are a couple of minutes away, with a takeaway pizzeria next door and a bar across the street. The ski escalator is also just a short walk and takes you straight to a run leading to the lifts. Walking to the lifts the other way takes around 5-10 minutes. The apartment was dated but had the basics, including a dishwasher and a large balcony. Sleeping space was a double pull-down bed and sofa in the lounge, plus bunk beds in a hall recess. At this price, I couldn’t quibble.
