Sheraton Bordeaux Airport

Jani drove the airport shuttle the next day and gave excellent service. He has a good sense of humour and is a very smart person. I walked 15-20 minutes from BOD to the Sheraton, then booked the free shuttle for the airport. The staff were awesome, professional, and happy to help or share good advice. The pool was smaller than I expected, so swimming wasn’t possible, though there’s a small, efficient gym. My room had everything I needed, but there were stains on the carpet. Breakfast was expensive for me, as I’m a cheap Charlie, but it was complete. The management and staff were professional, and I enjoyed my stay.

The bar and restaurant area was really nice, and the airport view through the large window was gorgeous. Mathias made check-in smooth and efficient, and check-out was fast and easy. The design is nice, but I was surprised to find damage in a new property: stains on the carpet and scratches on the wall. There were also some black hairs on the shower floor. The parking is a bit far. With lots of luggage, walking to the airport isn’t easy, though it’s okay with one piece per person. I recommend the property for its location and the service from the staff.

I’ve never raved about an airport hotel before, but I highly recommend this one. The staff were the kindest I’ve encountered in a hotel, and everyone was friendly and helpful. The airport and tram into Bordeaux are within walking distance, and there’s a shuttle if you’d rather not walk. The room was very clean, the bed comfortable, and the pillows amazing. It’s worth paying a little more.

I came to finish some work before my flight, so this is only about the shared spaces. It looks fairly new, with a work area by the entrance and a bar and restaurant. The airport is about a 15-minute slow walk via the car parks. I’d come back to eat, since the airport food choices are really poor.
