Getting to the hotel can be a hassle. It’s some distance from the train station and the central area with restaurants and sights, and finding a taxi late at night isn’t easy. You’ll need to order an Uber or arrange a ride ahead of time. Inside, it’s very clean and has a good vibe, though I expected more from a big-chain name. The room is extremely basic: a large bed with a small bed above it and a ladder, a tiny bathroom where there’s barely room to stand, and a small TV. The view isn’t much, though that’s down to the town. The hotel and reception shut at night, so you need a code to get back in. If you miss dinner and wake up hungry, there’s a vending machine by reception with light snacks and hot and cold drinks.

The location was a little hard to find, but it’s excellent value for a short stay. The room was clean, the bed very comfortable, and the shower was good. Highly recommend.

I only needed to stay one night in Ancenis, and this hotel worked well for that, especially for the price. It’s basic, but clean, with comfortable rooms and beds. The staff were really friendly too. Highly recommended.

If the Wi-Fi isn’t working, tell guests before charging them, especially when the payment can’t be refunded. They were unfriendly as well, but that’s a French thing.

The hotel was nice and clean, though the price was just okay and it’s far from the stores. I’ll be back!
