Cecil Metz Gare

The receptionist, Lisi, was the highlight of my visit. She greeted me with a lovely smile and made sure I had what I needed the whole time. My room was spotless and very comfortable, a great place to unwind. I had a wonderful stay and highly recommend the hotel for its cleanliness, friendly staff, and excellent service.

The receptionist was very friendly and spoke English really well. The private parking felt safe and was reasonably priced at €10. Breakfast was okay, though very basic and limited, with no cheese, ham, or chicken. My room was small and dusty, the sheets were dirty, and the bathroom floor wasn’t clean. The old-fashioned lock meant I had to hand in the key every time I left. I paid far too much for what I got.

There’s no parking at the hotel, though the train station car park is 100 m away. The location itself is nice, but the rooms were poorly maintained: the bathroom had no door, there were no blackout curtains, and there was no bedside lamp. The thin curtains at the window and shower were partly broken and useless, and the water inlet on the washbasin moved around. Breakfast was poor too. The price was much too high for such poor quality. Not recommended.

I regret booking this hotel. The bed was comfortable, but the rooms need serious renovation, and the place is in such poor condition that it doesn’t meet a three-star standard. The room cost quite a lot, and I had to ask to move because the Wi-Fi didn’t reach my room.
